Universal Principles of Design
July 14th, 2010Many thanks for all your hard work on this project. I think you will agree that the finished drama really brings your great script to life.
Clare Thompson - Communications Advisor, The Standards Board for EnglandThanks so much for all your work on 'Financial Crime - Stemming the Tide'. It looks/sounds brilliant, and much of that due to the well-written, well researched, and many times revised script!
Zoe Uffindell, Producer for Orchard CommunicationsThe videos went down really well. In fact, many of the speakers remarked that once you had watched the videos there was no need for them to present at all. Having seen some of them present, I could only agree.
Mary O'Hagan - VivaceYou are nothing short of marvellous, let me tell you!
Kathryn Saul, Project Consultant, KPMG TaxJonathan, You must have been flying through this one. I can feel it in your very words. Breathless as you completed the last sentence. It was not how I would have conceived it but I find it robust and solid as a brick wall. I love it.
Jim Andrews, CEO Band LondonThank you for your carefully constructed concepts and words for the KPMG Tax Tools Video. The end result is something that we had not planned, but I am convinced it answered their brief and to a certain extent their prayers!
Christophe Stourton, Catalysm ProductionsThe first rehearsal went very well on Wednesday. We have only made small changes to your excellently crafted words and all the General Managers are very appreciative of having such good lines to deliver!
David Holmes - Communications Manager, Yorkshire Building SocietyJonathan will come up with a creative solution to the most tricky communications challenge, one that suits the client as well as the audience. With his off-camera interview skills and great sense of humour, he's a good man to add to your team.
Tim Mein, Director, Barford Productions.Jonathan has worked with us on some quite challenging projects. His intellect means he can grasp difficult concepts quickly thus saving you time and tedium of explaining things. His work is first rate and like you, he's based in London.
Matt O'Neil, MD modcomms ltdA big thanks for a job well done. Everyone is very happy with not only the concept but also the final delivery of materials - a really strong piece of communication.
James Hatfield, MD Sandwichscene
The NHS has launched a nationwide project to enable patients with prostate disease to make the right treatment choices for them. I wrote both programmes and directed the interviews with the doctors and patients (Pukka Films)
Shell International has a large production unit based in Shell Centre in London and over the years I have worked on a variety of videos for them including most recently two staff induction programmes for their plants in Singapore.
Lloyds TSB has an ongoing training programme to make staff aware of financial crime and to encourage them to report anything suspicious. I have written three videos in this series covering topics such as money laundering, identity theft, mortgage and VAT fraud. Powerful dramas bring the issues to life and demonstrate how financial crime is far from victimless as it's often used to fund narco traffic and terrorism. (Orchard Communications)
The Standards Board for England is responsible for policing local government, making sure that councillors abide by the Code of Conduct and advising monitoring officers, the council’s legal representatives, on how to deal with any breaches. I have now written three substantial training dramas aimed monitoring officers and councillors. (Jacaranda)
I learned to speak French as a child and taught for a few years and the French Lycée in South Kensington (in English) and so am reasonably fluent. I am a keen follower of French culture and politics and enjoy listening to the radio and reading the classics. Yup, you could call me a francophile! So if you need someone to converse with the natives, conduct off-camera interviews, translate or write sub-titles, then get in touch? Most recently I co-directed a video on climate change for the European Climate Foundation and interviewed various leading lights including the environmentalist and broadcaster Nicolas Hulot and Henri Proglio, the head of Veolia and EDF, France's stated-owned energy company. I have also directed medical case study and PR videos, interviewing doctors and patients across France and Belgium.
Foster + Partners have projects underway all over the world and video plays a central part in their communication strategy. I scripted two videos, one about a development in Kazakhstan called the Central Markets Astana and the other in Abu Dhabi about an extraordinary walled city called Masdar that will have zero emissions, energy and water consumption. (The Bank)
Yorkshire Building Society holds a road-show every two years. My challenge was to write for four speakers on stage at once in a series of short but highly interactive presentations to communicate their purpose, values and vision. The event was the 2005 Winner of Gold in IVCA Live Events Category (Ovation)
Sanofi is about to lauch a new drug for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. I conducted off-camera interview in English and French with doctors and patients and wrote the script for this public awareness video about this distressing disease. (House Media)
I have written videos for Pfizer for over 20 years. The latest was a public awareness video about a new vaccine against cervical cancer. I conducted a series of off camera interviews in English and French with patients who describe the effect of the disease and the value of vaccination. I also interviewed the leading authority on vaccination at her hospital in Paris (House Media)
