Ride the Storm
Roger Gugen is a business advisor and troubleshooter. He can see through suspect spreadsheets, sniff out malingering managers and uncover excessive overheads. Then he goes to work to put put the business on a sound financial footing, returning it to full profitability.
Roger wanted to take his consultancy to the next level with a website. We worked together to develop a concept and argued whether to call the business himself or to have a trading name. He preferred the latter approach and came up with Ride the Storm Limited. But he also agreed with me that the site should be personal to him and not some faux corporate that would lack any personality or have a singular voice. For more insights into that conundrum, see my recent blog Coming out as Yourself .
Ride the Storm is a bold choice of name for what is generally a very conservative sector and obviously lends itself to a bold creative treatment. I developed the wireframes, structure and content for the bespoke site which is a full content management system based on WordPress. The structure is founded on his three stage business model and takes visitors step by step through the process. Further case studies and testimonials will be added in due course.
